# Show live audience questions in vMix

vMix's Web Browser input keeps the transparency of AskTide's output, so you can use it as an overlay channel above any input.

## Step by step

1. **Create a session.** Log in to AskTide, create a session and open its manage view.
2. **Copy the display link.** Click Share and copy the Display view link (https://www.asktide.com/display/SESSION-ID).
3. **Add a Web Browser input.** In vMix, click Add Input, choose Web Browser, paste the link and set the resolution to 1920×1080.
4. **Use it as an overlay.** Assign the input to an overlay channel (for example Overlay 1) and turn the overlay on. The transparent background lets your program show through.
5. **Run the Q&A.** Mark questions On Air in AskTide. The overlay updates live without touching vMix, so the operator in vMix and the person curating questions can work independently.

## Tips for vMix

- Keep the overlay on for the whole show. AskTide animates questions in and out, so nothing is shown when no question is on air.
- Add the live text output (/live-text/SESSION-ID) as a separate input for announcements and breaking messages.
